This Privacy Policy explains how Prepal (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the “Service”).

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

1) Information we collect

We may collect the following types of information:

Account information: email, phone number (if provided), name/username, and authentication identifiers.
Usage data: basic app interactions (e.g., screens visited, feature usage) to improve performance and user experience.
Content data: content you access or save inside the app (for example, notes/mindmaps you open or bookmark).
Device & technical data: device type, OS version, app version, and diagnostic logs for troubleshooting.
Purchase/subscription data: subscription status and entitlement information. We do not store your full card/bank details.

2) How we use your information

To create and manage your account.
To provide and maintain the Service (including premium access checks).
To improve app quality, reliability, and user experience.
To communicate important service updates (e.g., policy or subscription changes).
To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

3) Payments & subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements. Your payment details are handled by Google and are not directly accessible to us.

4) Where your data is stored

We use third-party service providers to operate the Service:

Supabase (authentication, database, file storage): to store your account data and app content.
RevenueCat (subscription management): to manage subscription entitlements and related events.
Google Play (billing): to process payments and manage subscriptions on Android.

These providers may process data on servers located in different regions.

5) Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only:

With our service providers (Supabase, RevenueCat, Google Play) to run the app.
When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
To investigate and prevent fraud, security incidents, or misuse.

6) Data retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

7) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Your rights & choices

Access/update: you may update your account details inside the app where available.
Delete account: you may request account deletion by contacting us (see “Account & Data Deletion” below).
Subscriptions: manage or cancel via Google Play (Subscriptions section in Play Store).

9) Children’s privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us.

10) International transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own (for example, where our service providers operate). By using the Service, you acknowledge such transfers.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.

12) Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your Prepal account and associated data by emailing us from your registered email address.

How to request deletion

3) Include: your registered email and a short request to delete your account

Timeline: We typically process deletion requests within 7 days.
Data deleted: account data (email/username), saved preferences, and app content linked to your account.
Data retained: limited billing/transaction records may be retained if required by law or for audit/compliance.
